Students who will join a Costa Rican high school to share with other people of the same or similar age.
People who will carry out a community service in one of the following places:

  a) In a primary school (helping English or other language teachers with classes).
  b) In a shelter for children, youngsters or elderly.
  c) In a National Park or National Reserve.
  d) In a community library or in community services organized by a church.

To participate in the second category the applicants must be students who have already finished high school, teachers or any other professional.

Staying with a host family with a room of his/her own:

• Healthy breakfast and dinner.
• Laundry and ironing (if necessary).
• Educational tours to different places such as volcanoes, beaches, and National Parks
  (This is optional. The participant will have to pay an extra amount for any tour he/she takes).
• Popular dance lessons such as Salsa and Merengue, among others.
• Arrival orientations and counseling (information about our culture and customs, family and high school
  rules, recommendations about possible dangers, and visits to historical monuments).
• A closing activity and a participation certificate.
•  Transportation from the airport to the host family and from the host family to the airport.
•  Connection with universities and language institutes for Spanish courses
•  Student insurance.

Important: Students must fill out the application and return it signed by his/her parents with a recommendation from a high school Spanish teacher.
